That parade for the Knicks happened today. I didn't go, but there's folks walking around in gear everywhere. I was able to catch games 3 - 5 at Windjammer in Queen, though! I've never been the biggest sports guy - especially not basketball - so normally I'd ignore this kind of thing. The World Cup is happening too rn, and I gotta say I'm not really interested at all (expect for ugly political stuff and the public transit fiasco). But seeing the Knicks have this moment, especially the insane comeback in game 4, has been really fun and special. I hope the team and everyone at the parade had fun, I kept on getting these info alerts saying that it was totally full downtown.
Of course, the positive energy here hasn't stopped me from being a moody little shit, as per usual. I think part of it is that my weird hours have been getting the better of me lately - a lot of the time I'm so tired that I just sleep through the day. I also think I recently came to the harsh realization that writing isn't really my strong suit and I'm not gonna do anything more with it outside of this blog, at least for a while. Kind of a bummer, but I have other things to focus on.
Still working through the Invincible comics and now I'm pretty far past where the show is. It's been kind of insane to see where it goes from there. The show has a lot to work with, and a lot to uh... deal with? Idk I don't want to post spoilers lol until I learn how to code one of those, like, click to reveal paragraphs? LOL I'll work on that. There's just so much that I'm very curious to see how the show is going to handle.
A few weeks ago I also started Pride and Prejudice, since I never read Jane Austin before and I found an old hardcover copy lying around my Grandma's house. I had seen the 2005 movie, like, years ago. I think I liked it fine? I remember the broad, broad strokes but totaly forget the specifics of how things work out, so it's actually been a pretty suspensful reading experience. I defintiely want to get through Sense and Sensibility after I'm done.
