It's fucking gross today in the city, dude. Before it was so foggy that I couldn't even see the buildings outside my office - the entire skyline just disappeared. Driving in Jersey today must have been crazy. The L train was finally running in the earlier hours this morning, which made my life substantially easier.
Today, I'm finally starting Meet Me in the Bathroom. I feel like it's going to bum me out, but hopefully there's some inspo, vibes, and funny stuff in there too. It's been on my radar forever, feel like I'm kind of late to the party with it. I watched the movie version they made when it came out in 2022. I really like 2000's/2010 nostalgia stuff - I feel like that's always going to be kind of the vibe. I was an actual child when this stuff was happening - I didn't even hear about The Strokes till like 2019, I think? That's when I got into DIY emo and music twitter generally. RIP twitter, man. Damn.
I actually wrote some songs the other day for the first time in a while???? definitely rough drafts, but still feels pretty sick to get solid ideas down. Going to make a point to get some open mics this week XD.
